Blog Love
I spent the weekend reliving my early 20s going to two shows that were packed with old friends. It was all a blur of hugs & “ohmygod I haven’t see you in so long!” It snowed late Friday night so I parked myself on the couch and worked, watched Jimmy Fallon reruns, worked more, took a nap, and worked more.
Check out Arrows (from Omaha) and The Company We Keep (on tour now) if you have a minute.
My favorite favorite favorite thing I watching this week was Dave Grohl’s keynote speech at SXSW. I was no longer one of you. I was one of us. I got all spazzy and teary and clutched my chest as I flashed back to being a total weirdo and living on local music and hall shows at age 17. >>>

Everyone is freaking out over Google Reader, I’m testing out Feedly and The Old Reader, how about you?

Great links! I love the one about pricing your handmades – I’m totally bad at sticking to a good price. I always want to underprice myself because I’m scared people won’t pay if I charge more.
RE: Google Reader. I’ve been using NetNewsWire for some time now. It does sync w/ Google Reader, but it can also house it’s own RSS feeds independently of Google Reader. They had an iPhone app at one point that also synced w/ the desktop software, but that it’s in the process of being updated (due to this Google Reader snafu). Overall it’s a great software and very easy to read/comment on all my blogs!
I am so upset about Google Reader going away… what’s up with Google making everyone all upset lately?
I am trying Feedly (which I like as an App) and The Old Reader, too. Better be prepared.
Yeah, I’m just waiting for them to dump feedburner too!
I just downloaded that self control app. Hopefully it will help me regain some focus at work!
Thanks for the app love Sarah! :)
re: reader. I’m actually loving Feedly more than Google Reader. I don’t think I’d go back to Reader if they decided not to cancel it. (except maybe due to force of habit typing into address bar)
Suggested by a friend, I signed up on Freedly. I loved Google Reader because of the large white space and simple layout so Freedly is a bit of an adjustment. I might also go to Bloglovin to read posts.
Darn you, Google! *shakes fist*
I’ve been using Feedly for a few days and I’m not loving it. GReader made it so easy to see what I’ve read and I loved the big white space too. I feel like I’m missing posts with Feedly & it doesn’t scroll as smoothly. Hope The Old Reader will import my posts soon so I can try that out.
Thanks so much for sharing the link To Dave Grohl’s keynote speech. It was amazing! I didn’t think I could admire him more than I already do.
Thanks for posting the dress project! I also think that self control app might save my life haha <3
Oooh, I love the Circus pic. Definitely a LOT of trust involved, which is awesome! I also love the Adventures of the Dress post.
I’ve personally been using BlogLovin’ for so long. I am glad I started last year! Google Reader ending doesn’t phase me. I had a LOT of issues with that reader. :/
Thanks so much for including my link Sarah! :) I never cared for Google Reader much and LOVE Bloglovin’ so I’m pretty using that as my reader.
I just heard about Google Reader this weekend & am happy to see your 2 links as I wasn’t sure where to start looking!
Thanks for the info – I”ll be sure to check them out!
There’s also Bloglovin.com – but it looks like they only show partial feeds and I like to see the whole thing. Though I know lots of people love it.
