Blog Love

This week was for…lots of rehearsals & cardio, chocolate protein shakes (addicted!), a girls night out to see Perks of Being a Wallflower, delicious bacon, and snowy evenings. We performed at the Auto Show on Friday and it was so so so much fun. I’ll have pictures and hopefully video in a few days. We’ve got four shows coming up next month (how is almost February already??) and I’m eager to start rehearsing more!

I think Hello! I’m Petting Your Dog might be my new favorite feature anywhere!
I don’t like to be negative on other people’s blogs, but I do want to suggest that you check out this interview with Kai Hibbard from Season 3. I had no idea what the contestants actually went through prior to reading this interview, and it really changed my perspective. Unfortunately, this perspective isn’t widely spread because of the expansive gag orders placed on contestants for a certain time during and after production. It’s actually pretty crazy! I would love to see the day when there are more healthy, balanced tv shows focused on improving people’s health. :)
I think this is the interview you’re talking about. http://www.bodylovewellness.com/2010/06/09/kai-hibbard-biggest-loser-finalist-part-1-of-3/ I’m not entirely surprised the producers and trainers would go to such unhealthy lengths to make sure they drop tons of weight. It’s sad because people will be inspired by such unrealistic weigh-ins and it will likely hurt their confidence that they cannot replicate the results. Definitely changes how I view the show too.
