Let’s talk about eyebrows

I dyed my eyebrows a couple weeks ago – can you tell? I went in for a bikini wax (the things you have to do when you’re in the circus >_<) and was talking to my esthetician about coloring my brows. My hair is naturally light brown, but since I’ve been dying it black I’ve had to practically draw them on. And doing that early in the morning, when I’m half awake is just asking for crooked crazy looking brows. So she said she’d color them for free to see how I liked it.
When I walked out of the salon the color was still on my skin quite a bit and to say I had bold eyebrows is an understatement (very glad I had my sunglasses & no plans to go out that night), but the next morning they looked better and by the day after I was sold!
They look a little heavy when I don’t have makeup on since my eyelashes are still pretty light, but once I’m all made-up they match my hair perfectly and I barely have to touch them up at all.
She said it would only last about two weeks, but it’s been over three and they’re still pretty dark. I think I may try to do them myself next time as she just whipped out a paint brush and filled them in.
Have you ever colored your brows or lashes? Any product recommendations?

Wow, it looks good! Brings more attention to your eyes.
Do you have any posts about how you style your hair? You have gorgeous hair (and it looks especially awesome in these photos!). I couldn’t find a place to search the blog. Thanks!
I have been meaning to do a hair post forever! I will get my butt in gear and actually do it soon :)
I need to do this SO bad. For some reason I have dark hair naturally but blondish eyebrows and lashes.
I saw the comment about eyebrow tattooing – my twin sister actually had it done. It’s not the same as regular tattooing, and it’s not noticeable at all. You can also get eyeliner, lip liner, and beauty marks done as well. I would find a good salon that offers these services and check out reviews online. :)
I met a girl on my work trip that had her eyebrows tattooed on. I don’t think I’d go that far, but I might have to snag this lady’s number from you to try this out… they look super awesome and putting on eyebrows everyday is a pain.
Yes, I agree. We should definitely get our eyebrows tattooed.
I have very fair strawberry blond hair, so tinting and drawing on my eyebrows are a necessity unless I want to look like a half dead zombie. I do them myself, as they are too dark after if you tint them during the day.
They’re super easy to do at home – just make sure you have a lot of vaseline (petroleum jelly) so the tint doesn’t stain your skin. I’m currently using 1000 hour lash and eyebrow tint in brown.
You’ll never look back after you do them once!
It’s good to know so many others are coloring their brows without much trouble :) Good call on the vaseline, I used to use that when I colored my hair.
Use a disposable mascara wand to apply and trim them before.
Yes! My eyebrows are practically invisible, especially in the summer when my skin gets tan and my hair gets bleached out. I swear by dying my own eyebrows with …. Just For Men beard gel. For realz. I use the one in the green box (I think it’s ‘dark brown’) and one $7 has lasted me for a one year!
Which is way more awesome than paying someone $15 to do it for me, once a month :)
Yes – I look like I have no brows at all when I don’t fill them in. Love that you use Just for Men – I might have to give it a shot!
