Sunday Blog Love

Any time I’m home with nothing to do my computer magically finds its way onto my lap and my fingers automatically start coding. Since I have no set schedule and I really like working I’d probably go for days without taking time off. So I make a conscious effort to have at least one day a week where I stay away from my to-do list.

Saturday night Nicole and I met up and rode our bikes to the bar for Michigan cherry margaritas, onion rings and arm wrestling. (I’m totally entertained by my muscles, I’ll arm wrestle anyone)

Sunday I awoke to ‘Wake up! Let’s go!’ texts and dragged my butt out of bed to take Nicole to get her very first tattoo (and one for myself too!). Nicole ended up with a little goth-style crown on the back of her neck and handled the needle like a champ. I got part of a Charles Eames quote on the side of my forearm. “Never let the blood show” is a tribute to my love of circus and the idea of making the incredibly difficult look effortless.

Post-tattoos, we continued our no-working day of adventure with shopping, pie, vegan sliders, more shopping, and more food. We parted ways only to receive a text an hour later (just as I was starting to grab my computer for blogging purposes) asking if I wanted to meet up for ice cream, which then turned into a trip to see Moonrise Kingdom.

Now I’m home and it’s 20 after midnight, so technically Sunday is over and I’m allowed to start working again…but I think I’ll cuddle with the Piglet and watch Netflix instead :)

Hah! I love that tattoo picture – it’s as though you just stopped for a quick coffee in the middle of a busy day, that’s awesome! (Great quote, too.)
