Belay and Balancing

We’ve formed a second circus troupe at the space where I teach classes and have been working on an acro routine for a show in February. I missed the dismount on one pose and ended up on my ass just inches off the mat on the concrete floor – not an enjoyable landing at all. I’m getting better at standing on people’s shoulders though. Obviously Anny is incredibly talented at this!
I learned a belay combination (first two photos) and a new drop with a simple set-up and scary pay-off. Depending on how many times I wrap I can drop 20 feet or so. I love scaring the bejesus out of people for the few seconds when they’re not sure if the trick has gone horribly wrong or not.

These are soooo cool!
These photos are awesome! This looks like it’s SO much fun!
Wow! Your balance and strength must be amazing! I would be so scared standing up there.
I’m totally scared of heights haha You get used to it :)
<3 You are SO epic. Seriously. You need a wonder woman costume while doing this. ;)
this stuff always looks like so much fun! i wish there was a place for me to try it out!
So I just discovered your blog and am obsessed:) I used to do trampolining/tumbling, and have been interested in getting into the arial arts, So this has been really inspiring!
When I first read these posts, it was always easy to spot you with your red hair! I’m not used to your black hair – but I love it (seeing as my hair is black myself).
I wish my area did aerial aerobics. It looks so much fun!
