    Hi Sarah!
I stumbled across your blog post and loved it. I grew up in Michigan and the majority of my family still lives there. There are a million reasons to buy from Michigan companies and locally and this blog is awesome. It also highlights so fantastic stuff that Michigan companies and small businesses are doing (also very much needed right now). One thing I would add is Matt’s Mix All Purpose Seasoning (available in a ton of stores in MI and online at http://www.mattsmix.com). It was Voted One of the Top 10 Must -Haves Made in Michigan by Real Detroit Weekly. As a disclaimer, it is my sister and brother in laws company but the stuff is seriously — like crack. The mad foodies I know love it and people like me who define their cooking as “heating” cherish the stuff as it gives their food a “I know how to cook” flavor. Just another thought for your readers! Thanks for putting this together. Happy Holidays!

My husband wore the rocket science tie at our wedding in July!!! It’s his favorite! My photographer captured some amazing pictures of his tie and the groomsmen’s ties from the same etsy shop:

That kindle case is absolutely amazing! I also really love the cards up top.

I need to get better at supporting my local Etsians myself. Thanks for the reminder.
