Today is my 28th birthday and to celebrate one of the things that has made the past year so fantastic, I have a giveaway for all of YOU! I’ll pick 5 winners who can choose one of the following:

My favorite birthday memory is from when I turned 10 and was allowed to invite all the girls from my class over for a party. My mom made up all kinds of games for us to play and put up with 30 screaming girls all afternoon.

My favorite birthday I went to Burning Man, and it just so happened that they burned the man on my birthday.
It was the most amazing experience I have ever had. I love the whole community, and there’s so much going on I just couldn’t see it all.
But the real highlight of that night was someone had made a great big birthday cake art car, and they only let people on who were having their birthday that day. I was their first rider.

Hey Sarah, Massive birthday congratulations, I’ve been following you on google reader for a while but I’ve also tweeted about your comp and tagged you. Best birthday memory would proobably be this year, when my boyfriend (the Jam) decided to tick something off my to do list and took me for a snowboarding lesson! To my shock I was actually okay with doing it, that was until someone took a photo with a flash and I fell straigh backwards (pride hurt & a few bruises but otherwise fine :-) After hitting the slopes we headed off for some tasty mexican. fab- bul- lous :-). I think my favorite birthday memory was my 21st birthday– and not for the reason most would think. I got diagosed with breast cancer FOUR days before my 21st birthday, and was (as you’d expect) super down and out about it. I had my best friends lift me up and take me out for my birthday, to get my mind off of things. I decided I would fight and fight hard– that my friends believed in me and that I’d be okay through all of this. I basically shoved worry aside, and took life by the reins! Almost two years later, I’m here (cancer free!!!) and can still pinpoint that birthday night as the night I decided to live life to the fullest!

My best ever birthday was last year – I organised a dinner at a Mexican restaurant with my friends. I was expecting around 8 people to turn up but way more people RSVPed than I was expecting and I ended up having to phone up the restaurant if they could pretty please squeeze 30 people in? (Luckily the staff were awesome and gave us a room on our own to make as much noise as we liked)
THEN my present from my boyfriend was a weekend away in a winery region in a private chalet with a spa and a balcony to wildlife watch… and he proposed!
That was one crazy week :D

My favorite birthday memory is a toss up . . .
For my 16th birthday my mom and I did the greatest road trip up through washington for a couple of days. I will always remember that time with her.
And on one of my birthdays my grandparents bought me an ice cream cake and my grandfather accidentally left it in the car. I was born in august . . . we drank my cake :)
