What I Wore: Ruffled Skull Dress

Finally feeling better, I went to open fly Saturday morning to work on my big drop and then drove to Dearborn to pick up makeup for the show. The woman at Lynch’s was so helpful and assured me that with the help of a sealer and an anti-sweat spray I will not have black makeup running down my face by the end of the show.
I haven’t put much effort into my makeup or hair the entire time I’ve been sick and I was starting to feel a little fugly. I made a point to take extra time with my makeup, straightened my hair, and even shaved my legs. And I finally wore my new skullies dress! While frills and ruffles aren’t usually my style, the skulls add enough of an edge for me to love it.
The entire time I was taking photos, the neighbor two doors down was on her deck watering flowers with a clear view of my shenanigans. It’s always hard to explain why you’re outside, alone, posing in front of a camera. Non-bloggers rarely understand this strange display of narcissism.

That dress is so adorable! I understand what you mean about the skulls making it more edgey. I found a white clutch with a kind of graffiti style design on it in black that has a skull on it I’m going to buy for my wedding. No way I could go with a “normal” flowerly white clutch. This one, I’ll use again. :) (even if my dad didn’t understand why I want skulls on my clutch for my wedding!)
