Student Showcase Surprise

This year I didn’t perform in the student showcase, but went to support the students who did. Pants and I watched routine after routine, bright colored leotards, fire-swallowing, spinning on the lyra and big drops on the fabric. And then it was time for Sean and James to perform…

I knew they were doing duo trapeze as I had seen a photo of them practicing on Facebook and had joked that they were going to blow Irina and my duo performance from last showcase out of the water. Little did I know what they had up their sleeves…

The music began and they came running in from the back of the theater…skimpy leotards, sparkle shorts and little tulle headbands…sound familiar??

There was screaming laughter from the audience as many of us realized they were doing our exact performance from last showcase, sparkles and all! Irina was practically on the floor and I was laughing so hard I was crying. It was hilarious and they absolutely had the performance of the night!
