Little BBQ
On Friday Pants and I decided to have a little barbecue on my little grill. I bought it a few years ago when I lived in Royal Oak, but only ended up using it once. It’s the perfect size to pull out when needed and not always having it take up space on the deck. Plus it was only 20 bucks and it’s YELLOW!
We got hot dogs, veggie sausage, roasted potatoes, salad and a six pack of Negra Modelo and hung out on the deck all night. Slayer was very, very interested in the hot dogs as I never have actual meat in the house, but sadly Pants was not sharing. I was the perfect night to eat outside. Sometimes it gets loud from the bars and neighbors being so close by, but it was a lovely and quiet evening.

After we finished eating the grill was still warm, so we pulled out the vegan marshmallows and Pants MacGyvered a roasting stick out of tin foil. (The next day my mom pointed out that we could have just grabbed a stick off a tree…duh haha) It worked pretty well, though they didn’t get as crispy on the outside as regular marshmallows.
We also dominated Chubby Hubby, number 23 in our Ben and Jerry’s Flavor Domination Challenge. I currently have 11 partially eaten containers of Ben and Jerry’s in my freezer >_<

Ah, that grill is awesome and your meals sound lovely! We love BBQing, especially as evening gets closer and closer.
What is Chubby Hubby like? I wanted to try some, but I’m not one for interesting foods in my ice cream (like pretzels!) but it’s quite intriguing…
Chubby Hubby was good, but not great. Cake Batter, Peanut Butter Cups and Strawberry Shortcake are waaay better. Though sometimes they sell it in little containers, so you could try it without being stuck with a whole container.
That is the littlest, cutest grill I have ever seen. We don’t have room for a BBQ/aren’t allowed to have one on our balcony so this is a legitimate option for us. Fortunately, we have a good friend with an awesome BBQ and if we keep her plied with beer, she has no problem with us inviting ourselves over for dinner.
yay grillin! i’m so excited to grill this weekend with the boy :D <3 this time of year
What a perfect Spring night! I love your little grill. Hey, if it gets the job done that’s all that matters!
That’s totally what she said.
tee hee hee ;)
The veggie sausages look delicious! I’ll have to add that to my list of new things to try. And that little grill… I love how it’s on the deck and not on a table top. Hahahah. Too cute!
they’re by smart deli – so good!
Oh my.. that little grill is too cute! It really is the perfect size!
There is nothing better than grilled veggie dogs with a ton of mustard and sauerkraut. I am so hungry right now haha! :]
