Aerial Yoga: Session 7, Week 1
[ Wall push-ups ]
I’m really excited today because next session I will be taking advanced aerial. I remember, during my first session, trying so hard to balance on my stomach on the trapeze and telling the instructor that I was determined to make it to advanced. The class will be less about muscle and more about pain tolerance and having the balls to do the tricks.
[ Angel + split ]
This session I’m doing two classes where we’re working on lyra and trapeze, which means I’m going to have mad grip-strength at the end of eight weeks.
[ Hock hang + foot-to-head ]
Splits and foot-to-head in the same class! I’m pretty impressed with my own flexibility and it just makes me want to stretch so I can be even more bendy. New goal: to be able to touch my foot to my head without grabbing my foot. Pure muscle…rawr!

I’m so going to try to join classes in Hawaii (when my strength and health get back up…)

i was so glad to be back in the studio on saturday and even more glad that i managed to do the taint splits haha. sadly paul wasn’t there to get pictures though :( i need to get that grip strength, my hands slip so much.
get some grip spray! it helps so much.
