Sleepy piglet // weekend working // early morning // puppy nest
I’ve been hibernating like crazy lately. With all this snow and freezing temps I just don’t see any reason to go out. Had to shovel my whole damn driveway to get to work yesterday – no snow days in the TV business!
Most nights Slayer and I are snuggled on the couch watching TV and working. Well I’m working, he’s sleeping. I have two designs that will go up in a week or two that I’m really excited about. Somehow I unconsciously created a design around the dress Amy Poehler was wearing on Kimmel.
I finished reading Never Eat Alone, which was great for kicking my butt into gear and inspired me to work on my networking/people meeting skills. Next on my list is Be The Pack Leader, so I can transform my little guard dog into a gentleman.
Anyone else hibernating?

I totally hear you on the hibernation thing! Excited to see your new designs … that’s awesome that you can draw inspiration from such seemingly-random places :)
You’ll have to do a review on that book or something, my older dog is a Weimeraner and it’s a constant battle with him. Some days I’m the boss, and some days not! He knows if he barks and whines at a certain time, I’ll let him in the bedroom because I’m too tired and frustrated to ignore him, dogs know how to train people!
There’s also been a new edition to the house, a little wolf-hybrid pup and I think some new approaches may be in need. I’m excited to see the Amy Poehler inspired design , I love seeing the websites you turn over, the designs are always great.

Aw thanks Chelsea! Yeah I’ll definitely write about the book and if it helps or not. Slayer barks like crazy whenever someone comes over and whenever I leave the house. So annoying!
We got Max training when he was only 16 weeks old, so he has it ingrained in his system that he is not the pack leader. Weird, inside the house, he listens to my commands. Outside, he only listens to Nate, except for the command, “sit.” He’ll rarely ever bark in defense or guard mode at another dog…. but he will bark to say, “Hey, pay attention to me, I want to play!” I think we lucked out.
Most Wheatens are so hyper and want to bolt, and often think they’re the pack leader, because they’re really intelligent… but either Max is dumb, or just a better dog than most Wheaties. We’re totally lucky, though.
