Double Trouble: Shots edition

I arrive at Jessica’s around 10:30 and she’s so not ready. Half the time I show up and she answers the door shirtless, with her hair in rollers and half her makeup done, tonight was no exception. But beauty like that takes time, so I hang on the couch with Bean and watch Tosh.0.

When she finally manages to get dressed we head to the bar, where the dudes are already a few drinks in, looking like a boy band in their matching hats and black tees. I’m am immediately teased and asked if I’m going to dance with ____ all night again. I didn’t realize I was dancing with him all that much, but Jessica gives me a smile and a confirming look. Everyone else gets tired or needs a smoke and leaves us on the dance floor to finish out the night. Though when NIN comes on we look at each other and agree we are not ready to take it to the next dance level, so we also head outside for a break.

J and I are rocking out to “Bulletproof” when some dude leans over asks if my name is Sarah ______ and I say yes and he points to the girl a few feet away who just happens to be my best friend from middle school. I’m not terribly excited to catch up because we had a huge falling out freshman year of HS and haven’t talked since then, but she corners me in the bathroom later, so I’m friendly until there is an open stall and make a quick exit.

Drinks turn into dancing and dancing turns into a dance off and the dance off turns into this…

Which is why they call us Double Trouble :)
