Ceilings don’t exist

I’m really happy today – feeling much better than I have in the past two weeks. I’ve been letting all the little disappointing things eat away at me. I woke up at my parent’s house to the sound of my dad grinding coffee. My mom took Slayer outside for a bit and then made light and fluffy blueberry pancakes and veggie bacon for breakfast.

I took yesterday off work for an appointment out near my parent’s house and then spent the day hanging out with my mom and sister who is home from college for a few days. I finished season two of Friday Night Lights (not as good as season one, but I still love love love it!) and sat on the deck in the evening sun reading, with Slayer sleeping on the chair next to me.  My mom and sister made burritos for dinner and they were so so good. I’m not sure if it was the fresh avocado and green olives or if I was just in a clearer, more positive state of mind that I was finally able to enjoy them.

I’m taking tomorrow off work as well and have plans for a massage (yay Groupon!) and yoga. I’m going to be so relaxed I may just float away.

I love when I finally start feeling better after a low emotional period. Just got out of one of those myself recently. Keep your spirits high, girl!

I LOVE Friday Night Lights. I’ve become obsessed, and am happy to find someone else who loves it as well! I am only about 2 episodes from being caught up and still love it, so you have lots to look forward to.

Glad to hear you’re feeling more like yourself. :)

OH, and 3. Let me know how Hateshipe, Friendship, etc is as I love Alice Munro but have not read this one.

I have to say, I’m not loving it. I enjoyed a couple of the short stories, but have a few left and moved on to another book because it just wasn’t holding my attention. The stories were slow and kind of boring. I’ll have to try another of her books – any recommendations?
