Evening at the Park
Friday, after a stressful week and a stressful day at work, I decided I needed to do some major relaxing, so I picked up Slayer and we drove out to Stoney Creek. We took a long walk on the bike path in the muggy heat and then found a quite spot near the lake to cool down. I read Erica Jong’s “How To Save Your Own Life” while Slayer entertained himself with a bone.
The wind picked up as we drove home and sent construction dust swirling through the air. Regina Spektor provided the perfect soundtrack and it didn’t start pouring until we were about to get out of the car.
