I met Mandy and Ria at the Detroit Fly House this morning for our first aerial yoga class. We climbed and hung on fabric, rope and a trapeze. Talk about stepping out of the box! It felt so good to make my body work again. I haven’t taken any sort of class since high school and now I can’t wait to go back. I need to work on my flexibility though, so I’m going to take a few of their yoga classes and some pull-ups are in order since I could barely swing up onto the trapeze.

I got to climb almost to the ceiling on the fabric!

Look at all the orbs in these pictures! This place was loaded with ghosties!

Mandy having the same “You want me to let go?!” reaction.

I can’t wait to go back next week, though my arms still aren’t functioning properly,
so it’s a good thing I have a week to recover.

In other news, I’ve been listening to Paramore’s Brand New Eyes all day (I think it’s finally growing on me), I watched Michael Clayton while stretching after class, and my sinuses are doing something very bad, so I’m glad I have tomorrow off to get better.
