Last night Jessica and I went to see Youth in Revolt. I had high hopes – Michael Cera is adorable, the premise seemed hilarious, and it was shot in Michigan.

Unfortunately, the movie was slow moving and the kids were way too awkward for my taste. I thought it could have much funnier, but it came off super weird instead. I think people will either love this movie or hate it. My recommendation is to wait for it to come out on DVD and get a little tipsy before watching.

Jessica sent me home with a prezzie for Slayer since it no longer fit her pup. I put it on him when I got home and couldn’t stop laughing. I think he’s going to be wearing it a lot now, if only for my own amusement.

Other things that make me happy:

+ Listening to Saves The Day + homemade Arnold Palmers + pizza grilled cheese + new commenters (Hi!) + sunny, spring-like days & melting snow + digging out skirts and sweaters I haven’t worn in a while + planning to do nothing but paint my nails and watch Dexter + making popcorn at work + Gaga TOMORROW!! +

So dish – how was GaGa?! I saw that you won free tickets on Twitter and was uber jealous. I hope you took some photos because I want to see this crazy woman in action.

Ha! Love his new accessory! And thanks for the movie review, sounds like I’ll be Netflixing it.

  5. Now that is one office-ready dog. I feel like he would more likely be in a creative department where he only puts his tie on for important meetings with executive, as opposed to the accounting type.

Thanks for the review! I have a hard time with “awkward funny” when it’s overdone, so it sounds like this one won’t be a favorite of mine.

But he was awesome in Superbad :)

Mary – Not even close to Superbad status. I have no idea what they were trying to do, but it’s like a 500 on the awkward scale. So uncomfortable!

I totally agree – Michael Cera IS adorable. Haven’t seen that movie though.

I think most dogs couldn’t pull off that look — Slayer is rockin’ it!
