After a very productive weekend I’m feeling great. I cleaned the house, grocery shopped, took Slayer to get his nails trimmed, and got half way through season 4 of Dexter thanks to Kiley and Jessica.

I spent some time with my family celebrating my brother’s birthday. We ate blood orange and chocolate cake and my mom kicked our asses at Wii bowling.

Here’s a picture of our old, fluffy cat posing for the camera…

Today I’m trying to ignore the urge to shop online. It’s pretty bad – I already filled up and emptied shopping carts and Forever21 and Karmaloop.

I need to save my money so I can get tattooed, paint my house and buy a new car. All those things will last longer and make me much happier than a new dress.

To distract myself I’ve been working through Charade Style’s Make Your Life Amazing series and thinking up ideas for the super secret project. If we could just come up with a damn name we could put it online!

Kudos to you for emptying those shopping carts! (And for acknowledging that while tempting, the other things you’re working toward will be more rewarding.) I need to keep that in mind when I get the urge to hit “purchase!”

yayyy! i’m glad it worked for you! I had the hardest time figuring that dang site out the first time I found it.

Sometimes I’ve found that just filling the online cart and then emptying it OR putting things on my wishlist as opposed to hitting the “Confirm order” button is almost as gratifying and somehow soothes my shopping urges.

    THANK GOD.

And um… “super secret project”!? YOU TEASE!

Mandi – That’s what I was attempting to do, but it totally didn’t work hahah I still want to buy EVERYTHING! Super secret project details soon. We want to launch this month, so as soon as we figure out what to call it we’ll be able to put the site together.

I did some house cleaning, too, this weekend.

Your cat is adorable. What breed is she? She looks like a Norwegian Forest cat ;)

San – I have no idea! She showed up on our deck about 10 years ago and kept coming back. Eventually we just let her in the house!
