Feeling kinda of bleh today. There has been a weird vibe at work lately as they restructure, I got bailed on twice in the past week, and Aaron has been showing up in my dreams. Hello unresolved issue. I’m hoping we can talk face-to-face, so I can start dreaming about other dudes ASAP.
I think this would be a good time to write out a list of happy stuff.
+ Dexter (half way through season 3!) + maybe possibly being able to buy a new car this year + Slayer being extra cute + dance music play list (Gaga, Britney, Rihanna, Jay Z, Black Eyed Peas) + the teeny tiny possibility I’ll get free Gaga tickets + washing my hair after a week = smells goood + chocolate tofu pie + almost finished reading The Namesake + purple leopard print tights + leg warmers and furry boots + morning pep talks from my bestie + new tube of lipglass + updating my planner for 2010 + not watching TV for weeks + super cheap & glittery Christmas decorations that I intend to leave up all year + garlic bread and egg noodles + new A Wilhelm Scream video + purple ( yep, just purple…it’s sneaking into my heart) + German chocolate cake + dried apricots + red glitter nail polish + all the people RSVPing for the MI Blogger Meetup + house decoration motivation +
Movie and dinner date with my whole family: The last time I remember going to the movies with the fam was when we saw Independence Day and I think my sister was still too young to go with us. All five of us met at the theater to see Up In The Air and then went out to dinner on Sunday. I heard lots of good things about the movie, but I was kinda disappointed. Even two hours of Clooney couldn’t make up for how boring it was. Good thing dinner was delish and entertaining!
Free Stuff: I’ve been following CouponGal, FreeSnatcher, The Good Deal Gal and It’s Hip to Save and am ordering free samples like crazy. I got gingerbread scented body scrub in the mail yesterday!
Saving Monies: I decided to try and outsmart myself a few months ago by taking my spending money out of the bank on a weekly basis instead of reaching for my debit card when I feel the need to buy. And what do you know? It worked! My checking account is filling up instead of plummeting toward zero every month and I’ve managed to avoid overdrafting my checking account for three months. Go me!
I actually feel better after writing this. I think tonight needs a good dose of dancing around the house singing at the top of my lungs, Dexter and chocolate. Then I’ll be good :)

taking money out for spending is a good idea, i should try that. i want free samples!
Hmm, never thought it could be like this…. very strange
Oh, you’re so smart for taking your monies out of the bank weekly instead of just swiping that debit card. I think I should do the same!
i love your list!
it made me happy too on this very “bleh” day.
i’m gonna try the cash thing, that sounds interesting (especially since I’m the queen of the overdraft)!!
