What I Wore

I got my hair cut and colored at the Aveda Institute near my house. The girl did a great job and it was so cheap! I got their Madder Root shampoo, which is supposed to made the red last longer. We shall see!
Rocking my mermaid sweater today with black leggings
and my Bronx lace-up boots.

I got a little crafty last night and made this ring. Gluing together pyramid studs was not terribly easy since they don’t stand on their own. I’m going to have my dad teach me to solder, which will hold better than all the glue I slathered on the back.

cute! i want to see the whole outfit
I love that sweater! You probably could have guessed. Is that a DIY project?
their madder root does help. especially near the end. i also had the girl that did my hair mix me up a shampoo with the dye color for when it starts to fade, i use it once to two times a week. i let it sit for 5 minutes and rinse.
i love the ring
lindsey – i wanted to take one but the lighting is terrible in my house and it was dark and rainy. next time!
mermaid – not a diy! i bought it when i was in high school from delia’s, i think.
ria – that’s a good idea. i’ll have to remember for next time.
Cute ring, I like it!
And how the heck can you always be this beautiful!?! You should do some modeling!
I dye my hair red, and red is the hardest color to keep in your hair and the hardest color to get out of your hair. *sigh* My hair looks FABULOUS for a week after it’s done, then it’s not so vibrant.
If I’m feeling a need to spruce things up, I put a temporary color on the roots, and that will tide me over until my next appointment.
LOVE that ring! You have to show us how you did it!!!
Trish – My last stylist would use a copper base so at least it would fade to a nice color. I can usually last two months before I have to go back.
Carolina – I’ll take a picture of the back and write up some instructions soon.
Steph – You are too sweet
