Black Friday: Resistance is futile

November 28, 2009

Even though I was adamant about not going to the mall on Black Friday, Jenn whined enough about needing sun glasses that I was conned into going. The plan was to run in, grab sunglasses from Twenty One and run out. As we pulled up to the mall I said, “I’m not allowed to buy anything.” That did not work out so well.

I started with a hat, so I won’t have to wear a hood while walking Slayer, then I found leopard print tights and a purple plaid scarf and then I decided I should finally replace my worn out wallet. I only spent $20 and didn’t go over my money for the week, so I suppose it’s OK.

Since I’m curtailing my spending, I went through my closet to find an outfit for Thanksgiving. In a bag on the floor of clothes that needed to be hand washed I discovered a sweater I hadn’t worn in probably almost 10 years. And according to the tag it was machine washable. It’s purple, with giant sequins on the shoulder, and it covers my ass so no pants needed! Definitely going to wear it more now!

Black Friday is so exhausting.. How do some people do it!? I have no patience for all those long silly lines.

I fought hard against not going to any kind of sales Friday.

I didn’t have to go to work until 2pm, and decided sleep was worth more than 50% off to me.

My pillow prevailed! But I’m still completely worthless in the wardrobe department. Ha.

    Cute grabs!
