Went to see Land of the Lost at Brew and View w/ my new buddy Adam. If you didn’t already know, Brew and View is where they show movies at a bar. So you can have a little drink and have an awesome time even if the movie sucks.
But, this movie did not suck. I’ll admit, the plot was not riveting, but it was quality Will Ferrell.
We spent most of the movie discussing how to make a Land of the Lost theme park ride, and let me tell you…we’re gonna be RICH! How many rides have you been on that go in a T-Rex’s mouth and out its ass? NONE.
I also lost some cool points because I was able to sing along to the songs from A Chorus Line. But it’s OK because I gained a bunch of points by spitting my gum really far before we went into the bar.
Headed home to catch the news reporting on a three truck explosion that melted and collapsed a bridge about a mile from my house. Everyone else is all ‘Oh the horror!’ and I’m all ‘Sweeeet video! Look at those flames!’ Which is what happens when you work at a TV station for too long.
Here’s what I wore today:

Shirt: Loehmanns, high-waisted skirt: Forever 21 (look it has pockets!), shoes: Bakers, wishbone necklace: LuLu’s, bracelet: vintage

I still haven’t made it out to Brew & View yet. It’s on my list of things to do this summer. And those flames…wicked crazy! I can’t believe the overpass collapsed like that. Thankfully traffic wasn’t too bad. And cute outfit, the pockets are a nice touch.
CUTE outfit!!
I’m sure there’s GOTTA be more of those Brew and View places around the country. I wanna find one!

angela – bet there is. i don’t know if you have emagine movie theaters, but there’s one here that sells alcohol. but they don’t realize, like brew and view does, that if they’re gonna give me beer there needs to be an intermission.
karen – they’re actually play good movies – i’ve seen block party and the wrestler. and holy moly i can’t believe no one was seriously hurt in that!
A Land of the Lost theme park sounds like a wonderful idea. It would blow the theme park industry away. I love your outfit, especially the shoes. What a nice touch to a classic look.
Oooooh, that’s such a cute outfit! :) I love your skirt, and you have gorgeous hair!
I totally thought that was a dress! Sneaky. And there are those shoes that I so adore.
I bought some shoes this weekend at DSW that totally reminded me of you… will try to post a pic soon.
