Things making me happy today
+ waking up to the Descendents + 5 minute showers + dresses with pockets + weather so hot you sweat just standing around + silly AIM conversations + causing smiles + wandering through Loehmanns for no reason and finding a super cute dress +
STAYING IN BED: I didn’t have anything planned for today and was smart enough to clean the house on Friday, so even though I woke up at 10, I stay until until well after 2.
MY BIKE: My beautiful green cruiser has been trapped in the garage while my cousin works on the deck. He crammed all the wood and tools in there and then locked it up so I haven’t been able to get to my bike. I’ve been riding Jenn’s boyfriend’s bike, which I’ve dubbed ‘The Crotch Eater’ (not in a good way) The bike is a couple inches too tall, which makes starting an stopping a bit awkward and we realized last night that there were baby spiders coming out of the handle. It was so gross, but that didn’t stop us from a midnight ride!
NOT WATCHING TV: I still have not sat down and turned on the tv since I decided to go a week without it. Haven’t really had the urge to either. I’ve been doing a lot more reading and bike riding instead.
UNEXPECTED COMPLIMENTS: My cousin and his friend came by to drop off gravel for under the deck and his friend asked me ‘What are you all dressed up for?’ and I said ‘Nothing!’ I thought to myself – I always dress like this, I’ll take that as a compliment! And later, the woman letting me into the fitting room at Loehmanns looked at my tattoo and said ‘A cupcake, cute!’
Also…having a tiny heart attack because my dad is now on Facebook. At least he hasn’t tried to add me yet. I’m not ok with the rents being all up in my internets.

Staying in bed, totally agree. Wish I could sleep until 10 every morning. I don’t so do well with the whole awake thing before then!
Um, ditto on the parents on Facebook. Both mine are, both my in-laws are and FIVE OF MY AUNTS are. I definitely had to remove my blog link from my profile.
I stayed in bed until the early afternoon yesterday too. I made lunch and brought it back to bed with me haha
Crotch-eating bikes are probably the worst thing ever. AHHH they HURT! Tell your cousin to get on it with his tools and wood so you can get YOUR bike back!
