Friday night ~W~ and I headed downtown to The Swellers / Propagandhi show. We sat outside on the deck and watched the torrential downpour. It was one of those shows where everyone shows up. All the kids who I’ve hung out with at shows for years. Seeing all those faces makes me so happy.

Linz and I looking slightly drunk and totally excited.

Saturday we took the rents to a Tiger’s game for their anniversary. It was hot and sweaty, but there was a decent breeze so we didn’t totally melt and the Tigers won!

Our plan was to eat our way through the park, but only got through hot dogs, corn dogs, fries, nachos, margaritas, beer and Dippin’ Dots. I was very disappointed that there weren”t veggie dogs and I had been told earlier.

You know how there was always that dude at the park who yells throughout the entire time? Yeah…he was sitting next to us. He spent the whole game trying to get everyone to call the Tiger’s pitcher ‘Catman.’

After the game I passed out for a while and then met B for drinks and pool. We failed at playing pool but got an A+ for flirting and drinking.

Sunday we went to brunch with my grandparents and then I picked up Slayer and headed to my parents for tapas and sangria. Yeah, we’re fancy.

For the second Sunday in a row I got home around 11pm and decided it was a good idea to make cupcakes for a coworker’s birthday.

I made Black Forest Cupcakes – the cake is good, the “frosting” was gross. Luckily I had a couple containers of frosting in the cupboard. Halfway through my pastry bag split and I had to use a plastic bag to finish frosting them. I think they turned out pretty good and all my coworkers have been giving them a thumbs up.

And finally, the deck now has a floor!

I would actually go to a Tigers game if they had veggie dogs and if I got cupcakes at the end. I’m only been to one professional bball game and that was the Red Sox during my college days. You gotta follow the Sox when living in Beantown. It’s tradition.
