Saturday in the D
Went to Izzy’s Raw Art Gallery with Betsy and Jonny last night for a show. Five bucks and free beer all night. There is a gallery and show space in the basement, room in the front for pilates and painting classes upstairs and three stories of lofts. I also noticed a full size trampoline towards the back of the main floor. It’s in Corktown so we managed to avoid most of the Final Four crazyness. (though I did watch the game and it was pretty exciting) My new best friend Adam met us down there and I impressed him with my love for Dragonforce. Jonny took some blurry photos of us outside.

Got brunch with the rents this morning and tried to figure out what Flor tiles I’m getting. Now I’m going to clean a bit and then head back downtown with Bets for The Silent Years/Deastro show. Yay!

I’ve seen Deastro in concert several times. Missed that show though. I grew up in MI but know very little about the Detroit hot spots. I mostly hang out in the ‘burbs. But I heard there’s a cool dessert restaurant in Corktown (wherever that is). I’d like to explore “the D” more.
