Shipped B off to Seattle at 5am on Monday. Driving home at 6am on a couple hours of sleep along the route I take home from work was a bit of a mind fuck. It could have been 6 at night. I arrived home to my parents getting ready for work, climbed in bed and passed out for a few hours before work.
I’m enjoying the snow this year. 20 minutes South the snow melts in a day, but at my house it just keeps piling up. I probably won’t see the front lawn again until March. I’m stocked with boots and tights and dresses and my car is doing a good job staying on the road. I take a scenic route to work, with big houses and trees stretching their frost-covered limbs over the road.
I’m almost done with my Christmas shopping and have successfully purchased only handmade gifts. Just have to decide on a piece of jazz-related art for my dad. Etsy, I heart you.
Yesterday I realized that I’ll be able to get a new cell in January instead of May like I thought. Anyone getting a Blackberry Storm for Christmas? I think I need one.

i love etsy but with all the creative people and things i get overwhelmed lol. good for you for being almost done with your shopping!
I was thinking of trying to stick to local and/or handmade, a la Etsy, for this Christmas, too… but I am usually way too last minute for mail order. Sigh.
