I’m still alive…

I disappeared for a bit, but I’m finally over my cold and the election is done.

I worked 14 hours on election night, which actually wasn’t too bad, most people worked close to 20. We had an all day webcast, so I sat in a freezing cold studio, sucking down cough drops and updating a ticker with the guests names. It was relieving to see McCain unexpectedly appear on screen to give his concession speech and thrilling to listen to Obama’s speech. I really thought we’d be waiting into the night to find out who won.

Now it’s Friday, the day before my bday (the big 2-5!) and I’ll be going out for the first time in two and a half weeks to see A Wilhelm Scream and The Swellers. My boss bought me a huge chocolate cake and my coworkers sang.

Not sure what’s happening tomorrow, I left the planning to B, so it will probably be wicked awesome. Enjoy the Wilhelm video below and check back on Monday to see how much cake and beer I consumed.
