Gotta go turn in my rock star card
I got to see one of my favorite bands for the first time ever last night. Weezer!! And thanks to B, we had AMAZING seats.
(not Weezer, this is Angels and Airwaves, who were not so good.)
We watched Rivers run around the stage, bouncing on trampolines in his red track suit and adorable mustache. Jenn had a minor meltdown because they played both “Pink Triangle” and “El Scorcho.” The show ended with about 20 Weezer fans on stage playing guitars, tubas, and saxophones to “Island In the Sun” and “Hash Pipe.” So good! I could have watched them for hours.
They didn’t play my fave song, “Only In Dreams,” but I wasn’t really expecting them to, so it wasn’t a huge disappointment. Though it would have blown my mind, so they should consider adding it to the set list.
Ended the night with cookies and a really, really good, long talk. More plz. B sent me a TREOS video, which I could only watch for about 30 seconds before I burst into tears. Hello hormones, can I have my mind back?

I’m so jealous you go to see Weezer. El Scorcho is my angry song…if I’m frustrated or just plain pissed off I turn it up loud and sing/yell along!
I’m surprised that they didn’t play “Only in Dreams!” That song is SO GOOD and such a favorite. I’m very envious of you for seeing them!
Seriously…. I won tickets on 89x but since I had to work and I couldnt pick up the tix on time it was all in vein =(
How fun! Gotta love the Weezer! I do love the song “Only in Dreams” but “El Scorcho” is pretty dang cool too. Sounds like an awesome show! I haven’t seen Weezer since I was in HS at Vans Warped Tour. I wanna see em again!

I saw them three or four years ago…SOOOO good. They DID play Only In Dreams as their very last song. Amazingness.
Also, they had a better opener – Dashboard. Ha. ;)
Dude I’m jealous. Say It Ain’t So is my favorite Weezer song, and that Buddy Holly music video is classic. I didn’t appreciate them back in the day, but now I do. I’ve caught up to the bandwagon.
