While I wait for Jenn to get her late ass to the station so we can go downtown…
I spent last night watching the Wings game and sorting through boxes in an attempt to get rid of as much stuff as possible. When I moved back home two years ago I jammed my belongings into boxes, shoved them in my closet and haven’t looked in them since. Suffice to say, there was at least two boxes worth of crap I don’t want or need. A few items have strong memories connect to them and I never felt allowed to get rid of them until now. Aka stuff from the ex that I kept just because and now I’m getting rid of just because. My room is usually overflowing and I’m glad to be getting rid of some of the clutter. (The two Hanson cds…I kept) :)
This is part of the reason I attempt to boycott Christmas every year. Besides the fact that I’m un-religious, I despise knick-knacks. I hate coming home from Christmas parties with piles of junk I’ll never use. I’ve gotten good at putting it in a garage sale box immediately. (And to the friends that read this and think I hate their gifts, I dont. You give me good stuff that I actually like and use, my family on the other hand…)
And I know I sound like an ungrateful brat and I should be happy I get any gifts at all because there are people all over the world that get nothing for Christmas. Well tomorrow they can stop by my grandma’s garage sale and pick up all my unused gifts for super cheap.

Keeping Hanson cd’s is never okay.
Never.
Honestly, I’m so into throwing stuff away…growing up, I moved every two years, and sometimes those moves were based on truck weight, so I always had to throw stuff out. Moving in with someone else (you know who)…I had to adjust :) But I also keep most of my clothes on the floor…so we all have our little things…!
You don’t sound ungrateful at all. I keep all the gifts that matter, too!
…i have a closet-full of stuff that i never even look at, but because i’m a complete nostalgic packrat, i can’t get rid of them.
yeahhh, my hanson cds are still in my case of old cds. um, along with all of the posters + magazines i had. but you aren’t to tell anyone that. haha. :)
